Alta Vineyard

Our vineyard is near the top of Altas Peak.   Atlas Peak AVA is nestled high on the eastern side of the Napa Valley in the Vaca Mountains.  At 1700 feet, the ALTA vineyard is usually above the fog line experiencing extended sunlight during the day and cool night time temperatures; courtesy of winds from Suisun and San Pablo Bays.  Warm days and continuous sunlight steadily ripen the fruit, while the cool night time temperatures and volcanic soils ensure good acidity.   The vineyard is the source of Cabernet Sauvignon for our highly rated “Oso Malo” Cabernet Sauvignon.
